The location is spot on for hitting the Cave temples and the Golden Buddha. It doesn't get much better for that kind of exploration. The breakfast is a delight-some of the best Dahl I've tasted, definitely adds a nice touch to the stay.
The bathroom leaves a lot to be desired, small enough that keeping toilet paper dry is a challenge, and can only fit one block of soap for toiletries. The international power point was only one, the TV was as small as a laptop screen, and the walls are paper-thin. While the food is delicious, at around $6 per meal it might hit a bit harder on the wallet than expected. The air-conditioned bus to Kandy? Good luck-got told it was air-conditioned and it wasn't, leading to a not-so-great ride.

Honestly no complaints. Clean hotel with amicable staff and a good value. Very very good building, magnificent location just off Sigiriya and polonnaruwa on day trips, bus station, and the cave temples. Also, opposite the Golden temple😀

A lovely Dambulla escape 🌄
The family was super warm and inviting, brekkie was massive and divine. They even sorted out my Tuk Tuk to Sigiriya at a crack of dawn, with a cool takeaway brekkie-who does that? So convenient to the caves too, like just a short walk away!

Chur, the place was close as to the Cave and Golden Temple! But the bathroom was tight and kinda cramped. Breakfast was massive and downright delicious!

The breakfast was a true highlight, with undoubtedly the best Dahl I have ever tasted.
The bathroom was quite cramped, making it difficult to keep convenience items like toilet paper dry.

The hosts provided a warm welcome and really good assistance, from planning excursions to arranging transportation. Breakfasts were generous and featured some of the best home-cooked Dahl I've ever tasted. The bathroom was quite cramped, and the lack of ventilation in some rooms detracted from the comfort. There were limited power outlets available.

Really good Stay with Wonderful Hosts
The breakfast with exquisite Dahl was a highlight! The location near the Cave temples is perfect, but consider taking a tuktuk for easy access. Don't miss the chance to enjoy a home-cooked dinner. It's amazing.
